Tri tip




so, tonite i had to cook the tri tip! justy was at the barn way too long for me...and i was starvin'...he had the horses saddled for the girls to ride. so by 5:00 he was still out there...so i thought i would give it a try. he already had it marinating in a dry rub (i dont know what all he used) since yesterday. so i lit the grill....when it was hot i put the tri tip on. i poured beer on it. i ended up using 3 cans of coors original beer. i turned it often and cooked it until my meat thermometer was half way between rare and medium. it turned out great!!!

we did finish the raised bed. i am excited to plant some heirloom tomatoes along with some green and yellow squash. i also have some herbs to put in the garden...yippee! and a few minutes ago we managed to pierce catherines ears! again. we did it when she was about 5 years old. but over the years she quit wearing earrings and they just closed up. she handled it well.
